Novisch – New in Lund

Are you starting as a new student at the Faculty of Science at Lunds University this autumn? Will you be a student in a bachelor’s or master’s program or take a single course? Then you have come to the right place. Lund has a fantastic student life to offer, and as a new student, the possibilities are endless! Therefore, the Science Student Union (LUNA) is here to help you sort everything out.

Novisch Period – Autumn 2026

The Novisch period begins with an introduction meeting on August 26th at 10:30 in front of Kårhuset at John Ericssons väg 3. This will be followed by various events, competitions, and parties, ending on September 12th. The schedule is included below.

One should be part of Studentlund for the events hosted at Nations. It is a general requirement to join the majority of Nation events. For more information, please visit www.studentlund.se.

Also, note that a provisory card or proof of joining a Nation is enough for the first two events. Furthermore, you must be 18 years of age to attend such events. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at fu-ordf@luna.lu.se or luna@luna.lu.se!

Locations and times not yet written will be provided closer to the 26th of August. Note that some events require sign-up. The sign-up deadline for some events is BEFORE the 26th of August. These will be released in good time before the sign-up closes.

August 28th, 14.00: Öl-mil and BBQ – Fladängsparken, Lomma to St. Hans Backar, Lund with BBQ in St. Hans Backar
August 29th, 11.00: LUNA fair – Ecology Building,
August 29th, 18.00: Summer Isn’t Over Yet sittning! – Sign-up required! – Västgöta Nation | Alternative: 18:30: Picnic sittning – Ecology Building
August 30th, 14.00: ANO (Absurd Novisch Olympics) – Borgarparken
August 31st and September 1st : Student Council Days – Each student council will provide information about location, time and place
September 2nd, 17.30: Mentor Co-op – Universum (Astronomy building), Sölvegatan 27A
September 3rd, 18.00: Game Night/Pimp Your Lab Coat – Månen & KC:K, Kemicentrum
September 4th, 19:00: TDC (Tour de Corridor) – Each team will have a designated location; ask your mentors!
September 5th, 18:30: Peas, Punsch and Pirates Sittning – Sign-up required! – Wermlands Nation | Alternative: 19:00: Powerpoint Night – Ecology Building
September 6th, 15.00: Capture the Flag – Sankt Hans Backar
September 7th, 19:00: Novisch Pong – Sign-up required! – Lophtet
September 8th, 17.30: Scavenger Hunt – Tunaparken
September 9th: Free, BUT last day to quest, so be ready for anything & everything!
September 10th, 17.30: Mentors vs. Novisches – Borgarparken
September 11th: 18.30: Final Banquet – Sign-up required!
September 12th, 13.00: Spex – Vita Scenen, Stadsparken
September 12th, 18.30: Ceremony
