The Environmental Committee (sv. Miljöutskottet) is the newest body of the union, which started its work during the operational year 2020/21. It consists of one (1) chairperson and four (4) members elected by the Union Parliament.

 

Its purpose is described in the committee directive: “The purpose of the Environmental committee is to support the union in becoming more sustainable. This shall be done through raising awareness about sustainability issues amongst the science students, and through supporting student representatives in the work with sustainability issues at faculty and department level. The committee shall also raise awareness about the union’s policy for environmental work amongst the union members.“
